logistics organization seeking a highly connected and
results-driven Domestic Freight Sales Executive to expand its
presence in the Salinas produce market. This role is designed for a
sales professional who understands the urgency, precision, and
relationship-driven nature of temperature-controlled freight within
the produce supply chain. Success in this role depends heavily on
local credibility, existing industry relationships, and the ability
to independently generate and close new business with growers,
shippers, packers, and distributors. The organization values
individuals who can bring both a strategic approach to territory
growth and the tactical discipline required to execute in a
fast-moving, time-sensitive environment. This is not an entry-level
logistics sales role. Candidates must bring direct produce freight
experience and established connections within the Salinas region.
Key Responsibilities New Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify, pursue, and secure new freight opportunities with produce
growers, packers, and distributors in the Salinas Valley. Actively
prospect, engage, and close new customers using industry
relationships, referrals, and strategic outreach. Build a
consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities while maintaining
disciplined follow-through and execution. Relationship Management &
Client Retention Serve as a trusted local partner to customers,
providing transportation solutions aligned with their shipping
timelines and operational needs. Maintain regular in-person contact
with clients to strengthen relationships and identify additional
freight opportunities. Deliver responsive communication and
dependable service that reinforces long-term partnerships.
Refrigerated Freight Sales Execution Sell temperature-controlled
freight services with full understanding of transit timing, cold
chain integrity, and product sensitivity. Coordinate closely with
internal operations and dispatch teams to ensure service
commitments are executed properly. Help customers navigate
logistics challenges, ensuring continuity and reliability across
shipments. Territory Ownership & Sales Discipline Operate
independently within the Salinas region as the local sales
representative. Maintain accurate tracking of sales activity,
pipeline progress, and account development. Consistently meet or
exceed revenue targets through disciplined execution and market
engagement. Required Qualifications (Strictly Required) Candidates
who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. Direct
experience selling domestic refrigerated freight services within
the produce industry. Current residence in Salinas, CA or immediate
surrounding area with deep local market familiarity. Demonstrated
success closing new freight accounts within produce shipping or
temperature-controlled logistics. Strong understanding of
refrigerated transportation operations, timing sensitivities, and
cold chain logistics. Proven ability to operate independently in an
outside sales environment. Stable employment history demonstrating
reliability and professional consistency. U.S. Citizen or Permanent
Resident. No visa sponsorship available. Preferred Qualifications

network of decision-makers within the Salinas produce community.
Active book of business or transferable freight relationships.
Documented success exceeding sales targets in produce logistics or
refrigerated freight sales. Deep understanding of produce harvest

reputation within the local produce and transportation ecosystem.
Highly disciplined, self-directed approach with strong ownership
mindset. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a well-connected
freight sales professional who understands how critical
reliability, timing, and trust are within produce logistics. They
are respected within the Salinas produce community, comfortable
generating new opportunities independently, and capable of
translating relationships into consistent revenue growth.This
individual thrives in a field-based role, values autonomy, and
understands the operational realities of refrigerated freight. They
are not dependent on inbound leads and have the confidence and
credibility to earn business through direct engagement. Deal

produce shipping or refrigerated freight logistics. Not currently
based in or deeply connected to the Salinas region. History of
frequent short job tenures or unstable employment. Require visa
