Technical Program Manager, Site DeliveryOpenAI, in close collaboration with our capital partners, is embarking on a journey to build the world's most advanced AI infrastructure ecosystem. The Stargate team is central to this mission, setting the core infra strategy and implementing this vision. From site selection to the buildout process, this team interacts with teams and executives inside and outside of OpenAI, sitting at the intersection of commercial, technical, strategy, and operations.About the RoleOpenAI is seeking an experienced and ambitious leader to join our Infrastructure Strategy & Delivery team supporting Stargate as a Site Delivery TPM. The role involves managing the delivery of massive global projects, specifically data centers, requiring a cross-functional understanding of dependencies, timelines, equipment readiness, design specifics, and commissioning processes. The ideal candidate will think proactively to de-risk problems before they occur.This position focuses on project delivery management, ensuring our data center and supercomputer projects are successful and delivered on time. You will build strong relationships, define key timelines and SLAs, and drive supplier performance across the data center industrial base.This role is based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week, and offers relocation assistance.In this role, you will:

• De-risk the delivery and deployment of the largest supercomputers ever built
• Provide pre-construction support during project approval, establishing benchmarks based on industry best practices
• Oversee internal and external project management to ensure successful program delivery
• Manage project milestones, executive communications, budgets, coordination, design, and documentation controls
• Develop and manage biweekly forecasts and executive readouts
• Coordinate major project vendors, including architects, engineers, suppliers, and construction teams
• Manage and update risk registers, evaluate contingencies, and coordinate resolution with partner teams
• Lead project closeout processes (material, operational, financial)
• Support site readiness initiatives such as delivery, turnover tracking, and handover readinessYou might thrive in this role if you have:
  • 10+ years of experience managing project delivery and controls across large data center projects
  • Experience managing projects across multiple general contractors and sites
