relocation assistance is offered with this position.Job OverviewThe
Consultant I, Data Privacy and Compliance provides a broad
understanding of health care, social services, and the intersection
of the two, with expertise in relevant industry areas. This
position will report to a senior member of the Consulting team. You
will support a variety of engagements that focus on helping clients
navigate the data exchange landscape, exploring how novel
approaches and best practices can be used for policy design and
implementation to deliver better outcomes for individuals and
communities, as well as assessing current privacy and data sharing
practices and providing recommendations for improvement. While this
position is expected to support consulting teams as a
subject-matter expert in the areas of Data Privacy and Compliance,
you will be a part of a multi-disciplinary consulting team and will
be expected to contribute to other client-facing work such as
project management, strategic consulting, and general client
support.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support client engagements by managing project activities and
ensuring the timely delivery of work throughout the project
lifecycle.
- Conduct research and contribute to the creation of high-quality
deliverables, including assessments, proposals, presentations, and
client reports.
- Analyze and interpret federal and state privacy laws and
regulations, developing educational materials to inform clients on
privacy best practices.
- Leverage expertise in digital health and privacy legislation to
provide strategic solutions that facilitate digital health
transformation while protecting personal health information.
- Advise clients on data governance, privacy, and security
policies, particularly in cross-sector collaborations between
healthcare, social services, and other sectors.
- Continuously develop subject matter expertise through
professional growth activities, including industry research,
conferences, and internal knowledge-sharing.
- Serve as a privacy and data governance subject matter expert,
offering guidance on laws, regulations, and best practices (e.g.,
HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, CMIA).
- Assist in the design and implementation of privacy frameworks,
risk assessments, data-sharing agreements, and operational
policies.
- Translate complex regulatory and technical information into
clear, actionable deliverables and client recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust
and alignment throughout engagements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health,
health informatics, or a closely related field required.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in health
information privacy, compliance, data governance, or health IT,
ideally in a consulting or client-facing role.
- Proven commitment to delivering high-quality customer service,
building strong client relationships, and addressing stakeholder
needs effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, 42 CFR Part 2, and other
relevant privacy regulations, with practical experience supporting
privacy compliance programs, including risk assessments, policy
development, and training.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex privacy, security, and
risk concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and
foster cross-functional collaboration across program, legal, and
compliance teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent
interpersonal, analytical, and collaborative capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience with project coordination, stakeholder
engagement, and managing timelines, deliverables, and
documentation.
- Familiarity with Medicaid, safety net systems, community health
centers, and value-based care models, with an understanding of
social determinants of health.
- Awareness of how technology enables data sharing and
cross-sector collaboration across healthcare, behavioral health,
housing, and social services.
- Privacy certifications such as CHPC, CHPS, CIPP/US, or CIPM are
strongly preferred.

- The salary band for this position is $80,000 - $110,000,
