We also offer flexible work schedules and very competitive benefits. - Chevron is seeking a Senior Application Engineer/Solution Architect across the process scope for SAP S4 HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) responsible to document and analyze business requirements; assess technical options leading to technical design decisions and participate in the implementation of the chosen options that will allow the enterprise to apply predictive data analytics to real time processes and operational data to optimize maintenance and operations, improve Project to Operations handover, and use field workflow technology to increase time on tools, decrease desk time, and improve data quality.The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of asset management business processes and the various SAP and non-SAP systems that enable Intelligent Asset Management.Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide domain specific end to end solutions, architectural and design guidance across the process and product scope for SAP S4 HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Intelligent Asset Management (IAM).
  • Hands-on experience and technical expertise in designing, configuring, and developing solutions.
  • Lead discussions with business stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirement, communicating solution options to business stakeholders and IT development teams.
  • Designing and documenting -solutions that offer highly dependable, scalable, and secure operations.
  • Coordinate new development activities and ensure they are consistent and well-integrated with the established enterprise architecture.
  • Participate in solution design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines.
  • Align with the wider Domain Architecture community including with Platform Architects, Product Line Managers, Product Owners, Cross Functional teams, Development -teams, and external vendors.Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or applicable fields.
    • 5+ years of work experience in a functional technical role (Architect, Software Engineer, or Application engineer) in at least one of the following Enterprise Asset Management applications: SAP, JDE, Infor EAM, Maximo, or other Plant Maintenance systems preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
    • Hands-on experience in SAP Plant Maintenance or Enterprise Asset Management experience in asset and master data management, preventive maintenance, asset performance management or predictive assets and insights business functional and technical knowledge or expertise.
    • Demonstrated experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (plan, design, develop, test, release, maintain and support).
    • Leading and delivering end to end solutions including generating alternatives that meet the product targets and working with cross-functional teams to optimize and refine alternatives so that the right solution is chosen for the product includes cost benefit analysis at a technical level.
    • Demonstrated solid understanding of existing, new, and emerging technologies and knows when or if to apply them to achieve business outcomes.
    • Experience with Cloud technology solutions.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately.
      • Demonstrated leadership skills.
      • Demonstrates experimentation mindset, not afraid to make decisions and act even when faced with uncertainties.
      • Hands-on working experience with architecture tools and demonstrated ability to execute to the architectural plan.
      • Experience working within a Scrum team using SAFe methodology to deliver results.
