Job Category : Compliance / Risk / Quality Assurance-- Job Level : Individual Contributor Business Unit: Gas Operations Department Overview Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response. The Integrity Management organization's vision is to: ---Improve pipeline safety and system reliability with a goal of zero safety incidents. ---Promote a safety culture throughout all levels of the organization with an emphasis on improving learning from the past and anticipating the future. ---Apply integrity management principles on a system-wide basis while engaging our stakeholders, from local communities we operate in to our regulators, so they can understand and participate in reducing our risk. ---Support the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution pipeline systems through the proactive use of asset knowledge, threat identification, knowledge of threat interaction, data integration and analytical tools to increase operational efficiency, improve system integrity and minimize safety risk to employees and the communities we operate in. The Gas Transmission Integrity Management organization is responsible for evaluating the risk and threats to the integrity of the gas transmission system then developing and implementing a strategic integrity management plan for the entirety of the gas transmission pipeline assets. Position Summary The Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting an effective and efficient safety risk management program for PG&E's approximately 6000-mile gas transmission system. The successful candidate collaborates with risk engineers, integrity engineers, and GIS specialists within the transmission integrity management program (TIMP) team to help ensure PG&E maintains safe and reliable pipelines which comply with federal regulations, and to continue our progress toward an industry-leading integrity management program. Qualifications- Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Five years of experience in risk management, utility operations, and/or related field
• Knowledge of risk analysis and assessment
• Geographic Information System (GIS) knowledge and understanding
• Experience with statistical software or programming languages
• Experience with program management tracking software interface
• Knowledge of gas utility operations and business processes as needed to perform at the job level
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products - for example Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access - as needed to perform at the job level
• Strong communication skills for all levels of organization, both verbal and in writing
• Ability to work with and across all levels within the business
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Responsibilities
  • Gather data, solicit SME input, and track change requests from multiple lines of business to support risk and threat calculations
  • Monitor progress, perform updates on compliance plans, metrics and dashboards for risk assessment and mitigation work streams including: Inline Inspection, Direct Assessment, Vintage Pipe Replacement, Strength Test, Shallow & Exposed Mitigation, Fault Crossing Mitigation, GeoHazard Mitigation, Accelerated Leak Survey.
  • Incorporate data from leak and incident reports, root cause analysis findings, and engineering analysis decisions into the department's risk and threat assessment processes
  • Provides process support, advice, and recommendations to ensure effective risk management within the business
  • Support development of tools and processes that help efficiently and effectively manage compliance requirements
  • Performs standard compliance training activities which may include developing technical standards & manuals, evaluating & recommending new work methods, and training in implementing requirements, work processes, and procedures
