Department Overview
The New Revenue Development (NRD) organization is an entrepreneurial and customer-focused team in Customer Care whose purpose is to advance innovative uses of *** assets, resources, expertise and relationships. Through the products that NRD develops and manages, NRD has the opportunity to lower rates for ***'s customers, drive customer satisfaction, and generate positive net revenue for *** shareholders.
NRD Position Summary:
***'s NRD team is seeking a Contract Specialist, Senior, to support the customer and vendor contract generation and management for several NRD product lines. Based in San Francisco, the senior contract specialist will be a subject matter expert on the assigned contracts and coordinate business, legal, and regulatory contract and reporting issues.
The Contract Specialist, Senior, will work as part of a collaborative business operations team with a service approach to internal clients and external customers. A curious, respectful, and proactive continuous improvement mindset is a must. This is a temporary position

Responsibilities
" Responsible for all contracting activity (with both vendors and third party customers) associated with NRD business transactions for assigned product lines.
" Regular use of Salesforce / Conga contract lifecycle management system to generate and manage contract agreements, as well as ***'s Ariba system for vendor agreements and purchasing.
" Work collaboratively with NRD product line managers and *** Law to ensure timely deployment of projects, and facilitate resolution of customer or vendor issues relating to projects.
" Communicate effectively, and build and maintain relationships with *** Law and other internal stakeholders, as well as critical customer and vendor representatives.
" Develop and maintain documentation for policies and procedures, ensuring effective and sustainable controls are in place for compliance requirements.
" Ensure contracts are generated with appropriate provisions, including in the negotiation of new and amended contracts.
" Ensure contract provisions are accurately reflected in billing calculation and in invoices
" Proactively monitor and manage key contract milestones
" Ensure timely contract approvals according to relevant delegation of authority and governance
" Resolve disputes with customer / vendor counterparty
" Complete GO-69C and Public Utilities Code section 851 filings as necessary, and respond to data requests from regulators
" Perform emergency response duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Four years of work experience in contract and/or project management or other legal / regulatory field
Desired Qualifications:
" Significant training in law, accounting, business, contracts, purchasing, organizational management, or process/project management particularly using Salesforce or other large systems
" Experience in and/or deep knowledge of the communications industry including fiber operations
" Knowledge and experience in drafting contractual terms and language
" Knowledge and experience in contract negotiations
" Understanding of *** contractor safety requirements
" Comfortable and effective verbal, written, and multi-channel communications to meet the needs of various audiences
" Experience and capability with Salesforce, Ariba, SAP (invoicing / billing functions)
" Competency using Excel, Powerpoint, and Word to deliver timely, accurate executive-level presentation of information
" Detail oriented, to ensure high quality, timely, accurate work products and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
