Department Overview
The New Revenue Development (NRD) organization is an entrepreneurial and customer-focused team in Customer Care whose purpose is to advance innovative uses of Client assets, resources, expertise and relationships. Through the products that NRD develops and manages, NRD has the opportunity to lower rates for client s customers, drive customer satisfaction, and generate positive net revenue for client shareholders.
NRD Position Summary:
client s NRD team is seeking a Contract Specialist, Senior, to support the customer and vendor contract generation and management for several NRD product lines. Based in San Francisco, the senior contract specialist will be a subject matter expert on the assigned contracts and coordinate business, legal, and regulatory contract and reporting issues.
The Contract Specialist, Senior, will work as part of a collaborative business operations team with a service approach to internal clients and external customers. A curious, respectful, and proactive continuous improvement mindset is a must. This is a temporary position

Responsibilities
" Responsible for all contracting activity (with both vendors and third party customers) associated with NRD business transactions for assigned product lines.
" Regular use of Salesforce / Conga contract lifecycle management system to generate and manage contract agreements, as well as client s Ariba system for vendor agreements and purchasing.
" Work collaboratively with NRD product line managers and client Law to ensure timely deployment of projects, and facilitate resolution of customer or vendor issues relating to projects.
" Communicate effectively, and build and maintain relationships with client Law and other internal stakeholders, as well as critical customer and vendor representatives.
" Develop and maintain documentation for policies and procedures, ensuring effective and sustainable controls are in place for compliance requirements.
" Ensure contracts are generated with appropriate provisions, including in the negotiation of new and amended contracts.
" Ensure contract provisions are accurately reflected in billing calculation and in invoices
" Proactively monitor and manage key contract milestones
" Ensure timely contract approvals according to relevant delegation of authority and governance
" Resolve disputes with customer / vendor counterparty
" Complete GO-69C and Public Utilities Code section 851 filings as necessary, and respond to data requests from regulators
" Perform emergency response duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Four years of work experience in contract and/or project management or other legal / regulatory field

Desired Qualifications:
" Significant training in law, accounting, business, contracts, purchasing, organizational management, or process/project management particularly using Salesforce or other large systems
" Experience in and/or deep knowledge of the communications industry including fiber operations
" Knowledge and experience in drafting contractual terms and language
" Knowledge and experience in contract negotiations
" Understanding of client contractor safety requirements
" Comfortable and effective verbal, written, and multi-channel communications to meet the needs of various audiences
" Experience and capability with Salesforce, Ariba, SAP (invoicing / billing functions)
" Competency using Excel, Powerpoint, and Word to deliver timely, accurate executive-level presentation of information
" Detail oriented, to ensure high quality, timely, accurate work products and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
