Requisition ID -# 125235 -Job Category: Information Technology -Job Level: SupervisorBusiness Unit: Information TechnologyJob Location: Rocklin; Fairfield; Oakland; San RamonDepartment OverviewInformation Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions. -Position SummaryThe Observability & Analytics Team is in need of a Supervisor to lead the Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Log Analytics team. - This role will be a hands-on leader role responsible for the implementation and operational support for APM and Log Analytics. - The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of APM and Log Analytics, as well as experience functioning as a team lead.
-This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. -
A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $126,000
Bay Area Maximum: $200,000

-California Minimum: $120,000
California Maximum: $190,000 -ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following. - The list is not all inclusive and additional tasks may be assigned to the candidate.

• Monitor the progress of the APM rollout for Dynatrace
• Monitor the progress of the Log Analytics rollout: ELK, Grafana, InfluxDB, Kafka
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and resource levels to support the project and operations
  • Ensure that the team addresses all vulnerabilities in a timely manner
  • Manages employees, contractors, and vendor for the efficient delivery of services
  • Review and approve team's timesheets
  • Manages staff's development plans and performance -Required Skills / Experience
    • 3+ years' experience leading APM and Log Analytics teams
    • Experience leading project rollouts for APM and Log Analytics
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience -Desired Skills / Experience
      • 3 years' experience directly supporting administration of APM and Log Analytics tools in a large enterprise environment
      • Proficient in utilizing and supporting APM tools in a large enterprise environment
      • Proficient with application server instrumentation (e.g. Java, .Net, etc.), Real User Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring
      • Familiarity with supporting APM tools for Linux, AIX, and Windows systems
      • Strong understanding of Application Architecture
      • Familiarity with Remedy - creating, working incident, change and work order tickets
      • Experience with Dynatrace
      • Experience with Log Analytics tools: ELK, Grafana, InfluxDB, Kafka
      • Masters Degree in Computer Science, IT Networking, Security, or other related technical degree
