We are looking for an upbeat Battery System Test and Validation Engineer, advanced in high voltage Battery System development, self-motivated, passionate about electrified aircraft development, and resilient to quickly adapt to direction changes. You will require a validated understanding of battery hardware, specifically, cell electrical and thermal behaviors, cell and pack level protections, battery control, and management. Additionally, you'll need to demonstrate an outstanding "how to break" mentality, to expose the underlying tale of HW/FW electrical distribution issues through your detailed test architecture and plans. What you can do:

  • Provide DFT perspective to battery design engineer team and compliance engineer team during the design phase
  • Develop high-level and detailed-level validation plans verifying the performance of battery systems and their components in performance tests and abuse tests
  • Develop test strategy and test plans to cover system verification and then validating the battery system for functional and certification requirements per standards and aircraft level requirements
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of communication buses like SPI, Ethernet, and CAN bus
  • Contribute to test equipment selection and implementation of verification & validation test processes,
  • Automating test cases and developing test tools required for battery system testing What you can contribute:
    • Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineer, Electrical engineer, or related fields with 5 years proven track record in HV battery testing and validation
    • Strong proficiency towards detailed and highly thorough QA test processes
    • Proven battery verification & validation experience used in HV batteries
    • Deep knowledge of safety-critical component testing requirements like margin testing, testing for reliability, etc.
    • Good programming skills in MATLAB and scripting tools like Python
    • Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork You may also be able to contribute:
      • MSME, MSEE, or associated fields with 3 years tried experience
      • Exposure to aerospace standards
