The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of
safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric
Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric
distribution and transmission operations, including planning,
engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management,
business planning, restoration and emergency response.
Within Electric Operations, Major Projects and Programs is
responsible for designing, project managing, and constructing large
distribution and transmission capital electrical projects and
programs; including reliability, capacity, and system
Develops and communicates an integrated and optimized work plan
portfolio for gas transmission, gas distribution, new business and
electric civil work. Works with functional leads to establish the
baseline strategic approach to work plan execution. Evaluates work
portfolios ensuring associated costs, timing and resources needed
are integrated and optimized. Develops contingency plans as needed.
Monitors execution and updates portfolios for planning purposes.
Drives strategic adjustments as needed. Works with key stakeholders
to identify work plans for business improvements.
Communicates work plan updates, analysis of plans and actuals
and discusses the trends and implications.
Develops contingency plans for the portfolio of work in the

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or job-related discipline or

Experience with CLICK scheduling or equivalent
Program or project management experience
Experience with work plans and resource management
Technical skills using systems and applications such as SAP,
R/3, Business Warehouse (BW), Business Objects
Access, Excel, PowerPoint skills to develop reports, do analysis
and deliver presentations
Strong technical background to perform assignments
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
Knowledge of workforce scheduling concepts and practices
General knowledge of capital budgeting processes and methods
Excellent problem-solving skills.
