Location: San Ramon, CA
Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Senior Consultant at
our San Ramon, CA location to develop and provide software systems,
applications, products and services to optimize/automate business
processes, improve work efficiency and provides the expert support
in software development and operations.
Expectations and Tasks:
Revise and update existing programs and provide required
documentation. Facilitate the service lifecycle and product
lifecycle. Work with technologies like SAP ECC, Netweaver Upgrades,
Solution manager monitoring, Database administration, Disaster
recovery build, Operating system administration used by development
and operations. Work with SAP Basis administration in various
modules like SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, SAP BW, BPC 7.5/10.0/10.1, Solution
manager 7.0/7.1/7.2, SAP HANA, SAP PI Administration, Upgrades and
Global Production Support, SAP Security Administration, Employee
central Security Administration, ERP Maestro SOD/SOX compliance
tools. Upgrade OS/DB Migration, Unicode conversion projects.
Perform SAP system upgrade from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0 EHP 5, NW 7.0 to
NW 7.4, EHP upgrades. Implement and maintain the multiple SAP
instances that comprise the SAP environment (sandbox, development,
test, training and production). Provide end-to-end solutions for
SAP systems that include ECC 6.0, SRM, BI, XI/PI, SM, EP, NWDI, and
ADS. Develop strong collaborative relationships with peer teams
interfacing with SAP Basis as well as Offshore SAP Basis team.
Monitor SAP systems. Assist in Hardware sizing and capacity
planning. SAP implementation/support experience. Administer the SAP
database. 10% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business
Administration or a related field of study and 6 years of
experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree
and 4 years of experience.
Experience must include 4 years in the following: SAP Basis
Administration, including Kernel Upgrade, Support pack upgrade,
Transport management system, Performance tuning, and License
Administration; Database Administration, including Oracle DB,
MAXDB, DB2, MS SQL, HANA DB Database Administration, Database
Disaster Recovery build & test, Disaster recovery migration among
data centers; Solution Manager Administration, including Technical
monitoring, Template maintenance, and Alerts maintenance; SAP
Netweaver Upgrade, including using maintenance planner to download
software; Upgrade using SUM tool; and Shadow instance for upgrades;
SAP Security Administration, including User maintenance,
Roles/Profiles administration, Role redesign based on business
requirements; and SOD/SOX Audit; SAP Cloud Products; and SAP
BW/BPC, including BW 7.0 to 7.4 Upgrade, BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.1
Upgrade, BPC Security Administration, and Fine tuning BW cubes data
loads. 10% travel required.
