seeking a collaborative and business-oriented Corporate Counsel,
Research & Development to join our legal team and support the
company’s evolving legal needs. The Corporate Counsel will serve as
a key member of the legal function, partnering closely with
internal stakeholders across research, clinical development,
clinical operations, and regulatory departments. Reporting directly
to the VP, Head of Legal, this role will provide practical,
solutions-oriented legal support across a broad range of
operational matters in a fast-paced biotech environment. Key
Responsibilities Clinical Site Contract Management Draft, review,
and negotiate a wide range of clinical site agreements, including:
Clinical Trial Agreements Vendor Agreements (CROs, CMOs,
consultants) Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs) Informed Consent
Forms Research Contract Management Draft, review, and negotiate a
wide range of research agreements, including: Sponsored Research
Agreements Material Transfer Agreements Collaboration Agreements
Consulting Agreements for key opinion leaders Cross-Functional
Legal Support Partner with internal teams including clinical
operations, research, and regulatory to provide timely and
pragmatic legal advice. Support the legal aspects of company
operations, including vendor management and internal policies.
Manage up-to-date form agreements consistent with industry
standards and applicable laws. Risk Management Identify legal risks
and provide practical solutions that enable the business to move
forward. Manage and coordinate with outside counsel when necessary.
Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school and active
membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar. 4–7
years of relevant legal experience, ideally including law firm
and/or in-house experience. Experience drafting and negotiating
clinical site agreements and research agreements, including a
significant volume of contracts in both. Ability to translate
complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance for business
teams. Preferred Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or
life sciences. Familiarity with clinical development agreements,
research agreements, licensing transactions, and research
collaborations. Experience supporting public companies or
late-stage private companies. Understanding of FDA regulatory
frameworks or healthcare compliance. Key Competencies Strong

factors when determining base compensation, including experience,
skills, education, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual
compensation will vary, and it is not typical to be hired at or
near the top of the range for the role. Base compensation is part
of a robust total rewards offering at BBOT. Additional total
rewards elements include annual bonus, stock-based long-term

wellness stipend, and flexible time off. Salary Description
$245,000 - $275,000 per year
