Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
practical experience. 10 years of experience in management
consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a
technology company. Experience working with data analysis, and
managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects. Preferred
qualifications: Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
Experience working with product and engineering teams. Excellent

As a data-loving member of the team, you serve as an analytics
expert for your partners, using numbers to help them make better
decisions. You will weave stories with meaningful insight from
data. You'll make critical recommendations for your fellow Googlers
in Engineering and Product Management. You relish tallying up the
numbers one minute and communicating your findings to a team leader
the next. As a Staff Product Data Scientist, you will be expected
to bring excellence and innovation into how analytics is done
leveraging the latest Generative AI tools for data exploration,
storytelling, and workflow automation which includes evaluating
agentic solutions for analytics acceleration, maintaining high
standards of causal inference and experimental design, and
integrating these into day-to-day product analytics work. You will
define and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure
success and improve end-to-end payments experiences across
Acquisition and Growth and Innovation, anchored around the
canonical user lifecycle journey (awareness, acquisition,
activation and engagement). You will provide support for key
programs, including the growth of users with forms of payments,
digital identity and credentials, and addresses across Google and
collaborate with cross-product area partners to ensure consistent
measurement and alignment on goals across Google’s product
portfolio. Your insights and leadership will directly inform
executive decision-making, planning, and reporting as you help
shape the future of Google Payments during a period of growth.

stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is
focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In
addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also
powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and
businesses. The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$192,000-$278,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Identify and solve ambiguous, high-stakes
problems, transforming data into clear, actionable insights that
directly influence leadership decisions (VPs and Directors).
Develop metrics across various user interaction within payments
user flows. Elevate the role of data science within the
organization by maintaining high standards of technical excellence,
clear communication, and impactful stakeholder influence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and
Operations teams to define key metrics and support data-driven
decision-making.
