- Develop software that powers Roku's content browse and
discovery experiences on and off-platform.
- Responsible for building services at scale, and for full
software lifecycle from development to deployment in production, to
monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Design and code services that offer low latencies for our users
and that aim to operate reliably despite underlying failures.
- Responsible for database selection and storage design that
works across AWS regions.
- Use understanding of cloud cost allocation and optimization to
deliver a great user experience at reasonable cost to our cloud
teams.
- Build large scale cloud services in AWS.
- Appropriate selection of data stores and analysis of
tradeoffs.
- Responsible for in-memory caching layers such as Redis, Redis
Cluster, and Memcached.
- Monitor quality of deployments and troubleshooting of
productions systems.
- Understand the end-to-end architecture of the web, from end
user device to a service in a datacenter.You are required to have
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in the position or a related
occupation.
- At least 1 year of prior work experience in the following:
- Building large scale cloud service in private or managed cloud
providers.
- Selection of data stores and analysis of tradeoffs.
- In-memory caching layers to accelerate application
performance.
- Monitoring quality of deploys and troubleshooting of production
systems.
- End-to-end architecture of the web, from end user device to a
service in a datacenter.For California Only - The annual salary for
this position is between $416,500 - $616,500 annually.Compensation
packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including
but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific
