Job Description Job Description HR Generalist Tracy, CA $40.00 per hour Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Balance Staffing is Hiring About the Role Balance Staffing is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a growing manufacturing and construction-focused operation in Tracy, CA. This is a hands-on, onsite role supporting hourly frontline employees and partnering closely with operations leadership. If you enjoy being present on the floor, coaching supervisors, ensuring compliance, and managing the full employee lifecycle — this opportunity offers strong long-term potential. Schedule Monday – Friday (Day Shift) • First 30 days: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM • After 30 days: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM This is a fully onsite role. Compensation $40.00 per hour Temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential What You’ll Do Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding (direct hires & contract labor) Maintain employee records and HR documentation in HRIS (ADP preferred) Administer employee lifecycle events (hiring, corrective actions, promotions, terminations) Support attendance tracking, leave management, and payroll coordination Coach supervisors on performance management and employee relations Ensure compliance with federal and California labor laws Support prevailing wage and PAGA-related compliance Assist with benefits administration and compensation processes Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures Partner with leadership to support employee engagement and workforce planning What We’re Looking For 2–5 years of HR Generalist experience Experience in manufacturing or environments with hourly employees preferred Strong working knowledge of California employment law Experience with PAGA, prevailing wage, or similar compliance environments is a plus Experience in start-up or policy-building environments preferred Proficiency with ADP or similar HRIS systems Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills Comfortable working directly with operations teams onsite Why Join Through Balance Staffing?
