Position Summary
Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient
populations. Uses unique knowledge and skills to contribute to
perioperative patient outcomes that are defined as observable or
measurable physiological, psychosocial and psychological responses
to perioperative nursing interventions. Communicates and
collaborates with surgeon(s) and the anesthesiologist continuously
regarding the patient's condition. Assists with the maintenance of
surgical equipment and inventory. Obtains supplies for individual
cases, ensures that operating room equipment is available and
functioning, and that all appropriate needs of the patient and
surgical team are met. When on-call must arrive to the Hospital
within 30 minutes.
Position Accountabilities:
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Minimum Experience/Skills: Two (2) years recent RN experience in
surgery in an Acute Care setting OR completion of an approved
perioperative training program (Periop 101/OR Residency Program) in
the last year.
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials: Current California Registered
Nurse License Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
(AHA certified) Certification in specialty preferred

Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to
perform nursing duties
Working Conditions
Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and bloodborne
diseases
Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
Emergency and crisis situations
Subject to irregular hours
Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances,
anesthetic gasses and biohazards
Call shifts will be assigned and must have a response time of no
more than 30 minutes
$77.88 - $94.77 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon
a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's
qualifications and experience
