About the role
Accela is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor who can play an integral role in our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience including full cycle accounts payable, month-end close, and managing complex projects. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude, driven, detail oriented and possesses the ability to think and react quickly.

  • Own full cycle accounts payable function from receipt of invoices through payments processing, including review of transactions and ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness.
  • Responsible for AP month-end closing process, including month-end accrual and other AP related journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Mange vendor profiles, including setting up new vendors and maintain W-9 and W8-BEN.
  • Monitor AP mail inbox, being point of contact of AP team and provide customer service to internal and external business partners with respect to various accounts payable inquiries.
  • Manage corporate card program including credit limits, issuances and termination of cards, tracking card usage, and book monthly credit card transactions.
  • Communicate policies and procedures for the procure-to-pay process.
  • Assists with other related projects as assigned.

    Expertise you will bring in:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred.
    • NetSuite experience required.
    • Solid understanding of GAAP with regards to accounts payable and accrual accounting.
    • 5+ years of related work experience; 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
    • Proficiency with MS Excel (vlookup, Pivot table, etc.) and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with multi-entity/multi-currency payables and associated accounting preferred.
    • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, ability to link information together, and solution driven.
    • Ability to multitask, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in fast paced and continuously changing environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
    • Extensive experience in process improvement, and development of AP policies and procedures.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Energetic, detail-oriented, and positive attitude.

      The base pay range for this position is $38 - $50 per hour. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
