Job Summary:
Agrees global, scalable learning and development solutions that
will drive an engaging, inclusive, high performing culture across
the Cooper Companies
- In partnership with Global talent lead, business leaders, and
HR identifies critical organizational capabilities and the global,
strategic solutions to develop these capabilities
- Develops high impact, engaging and meaningful learning
communications for employees, managers and leaders in support of
the strategic solutions Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Leads design, development of global, strategic priorities in
partnership with local and regional L&D teams, as well as
internal and external subject matter experts. Specific
responsibilities include:
- Manages the global learning management system from a business
perspective, learner experience point of view - including agreeing
core roles and responsibilities, governance & quality standards,
training and sustainability approach. Partners with HRIS and
functional experts to align business needs to core system
functionality
- Ensures systems and/or processes are in place to track and
manage learning administration, enrollments, and completion status.
Measures the success of learning and development interventions
- Leads a global partnership with LinkedIn Learning. Creates
communication campaigns to excite and engage. Curates content and
creates learning paths to meet key needs and drive usage and
utilization. Stays close to employee needs and "hot topics" via
online surveys, focus groups and learning analytics
- Manages the global competency framework. Responsible for
embedding the OneCooper competency framework as a core development
tool for employees, people managers, leaders. Creates online
interactive tools to support employees and managers create great
development plans
- Builds core leadership capabilities in talent management and
organizational effectiveness practices (recruiting, onboarding,
performance management, employee engagement, high performing teams,
organizational design, change management, coaching and talent
development), Able to create high impact, simple tools and training
to support people managers
- Leads the development of a Cooper change management toolkit,
(or "playbook") and upskilling of key populations. Consults with HR
and business project teams to provide subject matter expertise on
critical change management activities Leads the learning and
development community of practice
- Manages "sprint" design teams established to co-create global
learning solutions that meet high priority business needs across
multiple businesses and geographies. For example, improving manager
onboarding, creating a global manager critical conversations
program
- Drives a spirit of collaboration and works with partners to
reduce duplication of effort. Enables L&D best practice sharing
across the business. Acts as the key liaison between the Global
Talent Center of Expertise and local, regional, or functional
L&D resources
- Builds advanced facilitation and learning delivery skills with
key stakeholders so they can lead high priority learning &
development programs. Agrees global train the trainer or deployment
strategies with key HR stakeholders in support of global solutions,
core talent processes Keeps current on best practices in learning
and development and influences the adoption of these methods across
Cooper. Where required - facilitates team effectiveness sessions,
skill building programs, manager onboarding, leadership development
programs, or culture workshops
Travel Requirements:
- There will be occasional US travel required to attend critical
business meetings - approx. 15% - 25% of time. There could be some
global travel - as required by the business and always with notice
to help manage any life commitmentsQualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to effectively lead virtual teams, projects and
collaborate with diverse, international colleagues in a global
cultural environment. This role has no direct reports now and
requires high level of influence
- Competent in Microsoft Suite. Work Environment:
- Hybrid schedule applies, with on average 3 days based at the
Global HQ Offices in San Ramon, CA and 2 days based at home or
wherever. We are open to a discussion on location, but role holder
should expect to attend meetings in person with the team and
manager on west coast timings. Flexible working is part of our

- Passionate about learning and development. Strong (10 years +)
experience and expertise in learning and development - blended
learning approaches, program & curriculum design, advanced
facilitation skills, leading train the trainers, tracking ROI and
impact of learning and development to the business
- Must have experience of managing digital learning management
systems, global learning vendors. LinkedIn, Oracle HCM and Litmos
experience is preferred
- Mentoring, coaching and change management experience is
required. Experience with large scale organizational changes such
as acquisitions is preferred. Experience in designing and
facilitating high performing team development programs is
preferredEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Effectiveness/Development,
Human Resources Management, Industrial/Organizational, Business, or
related field or equivalent education and experience. Master's
Degree (HR, Psychology, Learning) preferred.
- External coach accreditation, ProSci ADKAR certification is
desirable
- Accredited in leadership and team assessments is preferred
(e.g., MBTI, DiSC, Lencioni 5 Behaviors of Cohesive Teams, Zenger
Folkman 360 tool) The US starting base pay for this role is between
$109,488 and $145,984. Your base pay will depend upon many factors,
including on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
All ranges are subject to change.
This position may also be eligible for additional types of
