Fresno; Sacramento - -Summary: The Electric Mapping leaders oversee
the management of GIS electric asset - registry data including
development of mapping standards, training, process control,
metrics, contractor management, quality assurance and quality
controls and audits, customer inquiries and requests, technical
support, and process and data improvement projects. The leaders
ensure asset registry data for all electric assets are updated
whenever facilities in the field are constructed or replaced.
-PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good
faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the
job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of
the job. -The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on
multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills,
education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value,
geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal
equity. -A reasonable salary range is:---
Bay Area Minimum: $---147,000
Bay Area Maximum: $---251,000
&/OR---
California Minimum: $---140,000
California Maximum: $238,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's
discretionary incentive compensation programs.
- -Responsibilities:--- Leads the department to ensure asset
registry data is recorded in alignment with mapping standards and
processes --- Utilizes knowledge of engineering standards, business
processes and related impacts to ensure asset registry data is
entered correctly and timely to support several business
applications or processes such as the proper calculation of
franchise taxes owed to cities/counties.--- Partners with various
internal organizations such as Maintenance & Construction,
Engineering, Service Planning and Control Centers to obtain new or
changed asset data. --- Leads and coaches managers and supervisors;
handles issues escalated by subordinate supervisors and
organization.--- Partners with As-Built, Work Management, and
Emergency Management process owners to drive continuous process
improvement for the department and for related processes.---
Ensures proper guidance documentation, training, change management
and communications processes are in place.--- Oversees the
development and deployment of emergency management resources and
processes to drive closure of as-builts--- Directly supports
control center GIS mapping needs--- Interfaces with various
internal and external stakeholders such as the State Franchise Tax
Board, City/County governments, the CPUC to coordinate activities
and provide asset mapping information.--- Develops overall
department performance goals and metrics, ensuring alignment with
Electric Operations objectives and regulatory requirements for
asset mapping. Oversees the regular reporting of department
performance metrics and general electric mapping assets. Presents
reports, department updates to senior leadership (Directors and
Officers).--- Develops and provides recommendations for solutions
and improvements.--- Develops and maintains mapping and information
governance standards, processes and procedures to assure accurate
mapping records and information security. Oversees the
documentation, maintenance and development & implementation of
quality assurance and quality controls into all mapping processes.
Regularly monitors and audits to ensure the department is meeting
business and all regulatory requirements.--- Develops and manages
department budget and resource management targets/goals.--- May
perform or lead feasibility analysis, business case development,
develop project scope, and provide recommendations on the
alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable
prioritization. Collaborates with Electric leadership on mapping
issues and initiatives.--- Partners and maintains good relations
with bargaining unit representatives. Represents management in
labor negotiations for the mapping department. Responsible for an
overall internal and external labor strategy.
-QualfiicationsMinimum:--- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related
experience.--- 10 years of related business experience including 5
years in a leadership role and 2 years working with bargaining unit
leadership. -Desired:--- In-depth knowledge of electric asset
mapping methods, techniques and best practices, including knowledge
of GIS applications.--- Broad knowledge of electric utility
business operations, including maintenance and construction and
control center operations.--- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
