Please enjoy this video about our culture.Division Overview:Ampirical's Substation Engineering Division has recognized national expertise in the planning and design of new substations and high voltage electrical substations and switchyards. The mixture of our talents to offer all aspects of substation/switchyard design services, our trained resources to get the job done, and technical knowledge allows us to design a multitude of solutions to fit the client's need.Job Summary:The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting of all activities concerned with the lifecycle of high voltage substation and transmission line projects, from inception to planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout'. Below are some highlights.The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $185,000, dependent upon relevant experience and qualifications.Medical, Dental, and Vision effective your 1st day of employment401(k) with company match (immediate vesting)120 hours (about 15 days) of paid time off (PTO)10 paid holiday daysFlexible work schedule (every other Friday off)Opportunity for advancement and career growthEmployer-sponsored Life Insurance, short-term and long-term Disability InsuranceGym Membership StipendTuition ReimbursementWellness ProgramPet InsuranceWho You Are:Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university5+ years of experience in managing projects, delegation of work, directing others, and planning of substation projectsPMP Certification is highly preferredAdvanced organizational skills to manage multiple complex transmission line projects ensuring safety, cost, schedule, scope, and quality is metSuperior interpersonal skills to operate within a matrix environmentOutstanding leadership skills to build and motivate project teamsExceptional presentation skillsExcellent computer system skills related cost and schedule reporting (specifically Primavera and Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage relationships with clients.Lead a team of Design and Construction Engineers in the execution of Substation projects from initiation of the project through close out.Represent the project in regulatory hearings, interfacing with internal & external stakeholders, and review project with management and customers.Manage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project budgets ranging from $250K - $50 Million.Manage project schedules and deliverables to meet external customer goals.Manage the development of project proposals, bid preparation, project schedules, bill of materials (BOM), etc. for assigned Substation projects.Interface with all internal and external stakeholders affected by the project including project team, management team, end users, governmental/regulatory agencies, and vendors.Report project status weekly and monthly to upper management.
