JOB REQUISITIONDevOps Engineer ILOCATIONSAN RAMONJOB DESCRIPTIONRobert Half is looking to grow our DevOps team by adding an experienced and well-rounded engineer. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with managing Linux systems as well as writing code. As a member of a highly efficient team, the ideal candidate will be able to self-manage, taking a task either individually or as part of the team, and see it through to completion. The DevOps team is constantly striving to stay current with the latest technologies. We use GIT for storing and managing code, Jenkins for compile and build generation, Chef and CloudFormation for deploying, open source tools for APM and log analysis, and AWS for our infrastructure, server-less architectures, and big data initiatives.Specific responsibilities include:Continually improve Devops tools, processes and proceduresBuild, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments.Develop and maintain Build, Deployment, and Continuous Integration systems.Participate in ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across our cloud stack.Work closely with Development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end quality.Write and maintain infrastructure documentationOwn production incidents/issues and provide level 2 response to infrastructure incidents and alertsWork with third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues.Full stack development opportunities depending on the candidate's capabilities.Assists with remediation of security threats in the AWS environmentQualifications:Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience1+ years administering Windows, Linux and Solaris servers and/or in software development.Excellent knowledge of Linux systems (RHEL/AWS), and Windows systems knowledge a plus.Hands-on experience using industry standard DevOps tools (CI/CD, Git, scripting, automated deployments, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation, and other DevOps practices)Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Azure Cloud Platform ProductsExperience with programming and scripting, with a preference for Python, Go, Ruby, Perl, Powershell, bash, php etc.Experience working on monitoring and alerting solutions leveraging tools such as CloudWatch, Nagios, Graphite, and/or Grafana.Be an excellent and creative problem solver. You dont need to know everything but you need to know how to find the solutionExperience with Docker, Kubernetes and Containerization is a plus.At Robert Half, theres more to us than what we do.
