Marriott International, a worldwide leader in the hospitality industry with over 8,000 properties across 139 countries, is seeking an experienced Technician Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of operational excellence and guest satisfaction that Marriott is known for. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality of the facility including guest rooms, public space, and heart-of-the-house areas. Utilizing a solid foundation in both electrical and mechanical systems, the Technician Engineer will perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and delightful environment for both guests and associates. Execute preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms. Monitor and maintain all engineering functions when full engineering staff is not available (e.g., weekends and evenings). Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment. Conduct inspections and maintain the energy conservation programs, and conduct safety inspections. Assist in maintaining regulatory requirements, including all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals Effective communication and critical thinking skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) preferred EPA Refrigeration certification a plus
